We are happy to share the news about exciting updates on our product developments and a glimpse into our plans for the year ahead. We’re on a mission to ensure that Advantage remains not just a tool you use but a partner you trust to help drive your business forward.

1099 IRIS Filing

The IRS has introduced a new way to e-file your 1099s with IRIS, and we’re here to help make that transition seamless for you. This December, we’re rolling out updates to support the new IRIS method in addition to the current FIRE method.

What you need to know:

  • To use the IRIS Taxpayer portal you must first apply for an IRIS Transmitter Code Code (TCC)
  • If you have not yet applied for a TCC, you need to allow 45 days for processing
  • The current FIRE e-file method will still be available, but we expect the IRS to retire this method in the coming years

Enhanced Security & Authentication with Auth0

In Early 2025, Advantage will implement Auth0, an enterprise-grade authentication and authorization platform. This integration brings upgraded security features (Single Sign-on, improved Two-factor Authentication) as well as essential authentication workflow enhancements.

With this integration, there will be changes to our Security Policies to ensure we are adhering to industry best practices. We will be reaching out in January to guide you through changes that need to be made to be in compliance.

AdvantagePay Approvals

Billing payments just got better! We have listened to your feedback, and through our close work with our partners at Edenred, we will support direct payment approvals within Advantage, greatly streamlining the billing process.

Enhanced Proofing Capabilities

Proofing is a key workflow for any agency. Again, we listened to your feedback and are excited about the improvements.

Key Enhancements:

  • Enhanced markup capabilities, including color coding
  • Add notes anywhere in a proof, including on different pages in a PDF or Word document
    Improved commenting flows, including cleaner layout, external replies, and the ability to edit and delete comments
  • Improved @mention capabilities
